My Greatest Enemy is My Inner Me

This blog will tell the story of an up-and-coming young black man in his 20's

Bloggers Block, sort of.

Its been a week since I've blogged, and usually I never go more than 7 days without blogging. I guess I really don't have much to talk about right now. I've had a few thoughts on my mind, one of them being my taste in women. It seems as though the ones that I have the most interest in are already taken. Which should be the case because men would be fools to let those type of women that I like stay single.......So in the end, I find myself talking to women who are a step below my standards but are available. And I think its taking its toll on me, along with working 2 jobs. But enough of that. I don't want to get accused of subliminally asking for +sympathy azz+.

Also, with the Christmas season coming up, it always reminds me of my favorite Christmas, which was 1989. That was the year that Smooth's mom (Ma Dukes) bought us a Nintendo. We were so happy, because it meant that we didn't have to go to the neighbor's house to act like their friend just to play Nintendo. But also, I loved that year because all 6 of my grandmothers' kids were all together in one home, including my Aunt Gail and Uncle Steve (may they both rest in piece) and their kids.

Do I want anything for Christmas this year? Nah........
I remember one year, I think I was 18, I asked for a girlfriend, and I met a chick a few days later. LOL...mere coincidence....

So what is your most memorable Christmas? What do you want for Christmas this year? Pick a lane, folks.

Next week, I think I'm going to do a year-in-review blog, looking back on the events of this past year.

Yall stay resolute, and happy holidays to all!

Thanks for Reading,

Robert L. Mack

***Doing the I'm first dance***

I was just picking up my violin, then you said you weren't trying to get sympathy...so, I put it back in the closet :)

My most memorable Christmas has to be when I was about 7 or 8. My parents would put the presents out Christmas eve while we were in the bed, so when we woke up it was as if Santa had come. Although, I knew better than that.

Well, this particular Christmas I really wanted a Cabbage Patch doll. So, when I woke up that morning there the doll was laying next to me in the bed. I was so elated! I remember her name was Rose...

The things we remember.

My best Christmas - i can't remember the year was when - i asked for a bike and i got a bmx - couldn't ride it to save my ass but my dad took me to the park on Christmas day while my ma cooked dinner and i learnt to ride a bicycle then and there - i was a content child.
It was a moment i will never forget.

For someone with nothing to say that post was short but cool.

Have a GREAT Christmas and new year Mr Mack.

Will try and do a Christmas post when i get home if i finish wrapping on time and will shout out to you (of course!!)

Take care and have a WICKED time.

R Mack beauty comes in many forms. Remember a pretty woman can be really ugly on the inside.

I keep telling ya don't judge a woman's beauty by what other people think. I used to do that. Its wrong. I would have a girlfriend thinking she was below average wanting to cut her off. As soon as someone else found her attractive. AHaaaa Hey you are fine...I hold my head down in shame.

What you need for x-mas is tunnel vision. So that the next woman you meet. You will only see her and nothing else.

My most memorable holidays were when I was younger and my ENTIRE family always got together no matter what. It was a given....man, I miss that.

Anyway, I agree with Slish. I'm working on this same thing myself. I find myself wondering what other people will think of certain people who like me. Probably missed out on a lot of good ones that way, I'm sure. I'm learning, I'm learning.

My favorite was xmas 2000. I finally had a decent job so I had some dough and I did one of them little "internet" deals and got a four hundred dollar GC for best buy.

This so happen to coincide with ma dukes not having anymone so I saved xmas

Todd Mack (who I call my lil brother cuz he lives with me) got some kicks

Tiger got a nice echo red outfit (after previously stating I spent all my money on Tod Mack)

Dukes got a DVD player and I bout like 10 movies and some video games

I also had a "friend" so she got some ish too. I think my mom almost cried when I broke out all these gifts.

I was just strolling through lookin for some educated reading and I saw some of ur blogger family's post, so I've been goin around. Such a blessing is all I can say. You guys have wonderful minds and it is really interesting to get a small dose.

I hope you don't mind me leaving my two cents in response:

I was watching CNN and they were doing a little special that showed little kids opening up their gifts back in the early 90s. Sure enough, they screamed their heads off at the discovering of the Nintendo being santa's little donation to the toy fund. It was funny watchin these kids in that moment where the highest point of happiness can and was reached... I can't remember that feeling. I think that's what I miss most about my childhood...

I look forward to stopping by again, if you don't mind

Lol @ Mocha.

I remember when my younger got a Nintendo for Christmas. I thought he was going to explode because he had to wait for everyone to finish unwrapping their gifts before he could set it up.

So what is your most memorable Christmas?
My niece's second Christmas. My brother searched everywhere for a tickle me Elmo and she was scared of the thing. Lol.

What do you want for Christmas this year?
I already have it. I am home with my family.

Merry Christmas!!

Ahhh...the nintendo christmas...I remember my super nintendo christmas. Of course, I was last of all my friends in getting one, so I made it a point in being first to get the rest. I got my dreamcast the first day it came out...and I was revolutionary and bought my ps2 off of ebay in like the first 4 months it came out when I was in 11th or 12th grade...can't exactly remember. And I'm loving my 360 right now...and all I wanted for this christmas was insight so that I don't make the same damn mistakes over again...I see Santa forgot about me though...bastard.

Anyways...where you been at??
