The Collection

Let's start the week out on a light note, (besides nothing happened over the weekend besides me seeing Little Man with Gina.)

Some pics over the past 2 months:

present Mack(me), Macks in training (lil brothers), and old school Mack (pops)

Lil Sis Mack

and

what's the common denominator?

Me, of course. But what else?

The Sean John polo's. LOL

As I was washing clothes, I realized that I have amassed quite a few of these shirts over the past year or so. How? Why?

Well it started last summer, our manager allowed the entire floor to wear jeans and sneaks for the summer (She has sinced allowed us to wear them all the time, unless a customer is visiting). Which is pretty cool, considering how corporate (white) this major computer company is. But the big boss lady is black, which I love. But anyways, there is always one bad apple out the bunch that messes things up for everyone (n.ggas), and this one ghetto chick started working here and she must've thought because it was casual that meant dress like you're about to go to a house party. She was a big girl that wanted to flaunt her curves (ugh) and the managers took note of that. They continued the casual dress but stressed a few rules, notably for the guys that meant that we had to wear collared shirts. Damn, this ghetto chick (who aint even here no more) effed up my t-shirt game. So I had to figure out a way to stay in the dress code yet feel comfortable, so I bought a Sean John polo shirt. And another. And another. Until I realized I currently have 13 different colors.

Now I don't consider myself a fashion aficionado by no means, but I had to look back the other day like "Ok Rob, I see you with the lil collection". LOL. I even have one of my supervisors, a 60-ish white lady that'll see me and say "Hey is that a new SEAN DON shirt you have on?"

So I guess that I've come to terms that I'm officially trying to collect as many colors and style of the SJ polo that I can. Say what you want about Puffy (I don't care what he calling himself these days he'll always be Puffy), the man created a nice clothing line that''ll probably stay in fashion for years and years.

So Bloggers, I wrote this because I wanted to know does anyone else out there have a particular collection of clothing that you are partial to?

Thanks for Reading,

Robert Mack

I'm not particularly partial to any one collection of clothing. Although, there are certain styles or designers I like due to they way they fit my butt, yet don't gap in the back because I have a small waist. But, that's a few stores or designers and no one inparticular.

I am funny about my lip gloss, though. I have big lips, so I have to make sure they are well greased...no white line from caking gloss, no cracks...that kind of thing. So, there is only one kind of lipgloss I used to buy (they discontinued it). It was really shiny, yet it wasn't too thick. I would buy it in bulk because the store always had only 2 or 3 left. Surprisingly, I don't really care for Mac. It's too thick and it cakes. My new favorite that I only buy is Sally Hansen's Diamond Lip Treatment...it's glossy and it sparkles...I love it.

Anyway, I know I've turned your masculine blog into a girly make-up session...my bad.

Oh its ok. BELIEVE ME, ITS OK (LOL!!!) I don't even know what that mean "gap in the back"....I know when we was shorties we used to talk about how a chick had a gap, what the hell is that supposed to mean? But that all you can talk about when you're 12 and 13....lol..."man dude she got a gap"

ILLTV

The Illustrious RobMack: I am so addicted to Levi's jeans. But with my body type, I can only wear lowrise boot cuts. Especially with boots. I be sharp as a mofo! Just the right starchy crisp, with my vee neck blouses (cuz my boobs are big and big boobs need vee necks to tone 'em down)... man, no wonder they be mad at me! LOL! I wear business suits most of the time, and I wear nothing but Donna Karan or Brooks Brothers. I can't believe Spiegels make clothes for plus size women and I get the majority of my dresses, jackets, and skirts from them. They keep a girl looking sharp as a tack!

I like T shirts, with writing on the front...and then I like to cut them up....
But as far as gymshoes go, I used to only wear Air Force Ones or Air Max, all white, but I'm starting to expand my horizons...

What Dynasty means is that she have to buy pants bigger in the waist to fit her booty....and that causes a gap in the pants at the top where the belt loops are....

But what those guys be talkin about is the gap right between a girls legs where the thighs meet...

I am addicted to shoes, i have over 50 pairs and most of them are high over 3.5 inches and either very work like or very extravagant colours. But aside from the shoes i love tank tops and have about 3 in each colour. Different patterns, day, evening, partying.
Girls have to be so much more careful than guys, many more assets to cover without being branded a slut. ?!?

Oh this is right up my alley.

I have exactly 271 pairs of shoes (no lie) I have 2 shoe closets in my house and they are stacked to the ceiling...I am a shoe addict PERIOD. I buy the clear boxes from the Container Store and I throw away all the factory boxes. It helps preserve the shoes and helps you to see what you got without having to open the tops. Shoes...that's my thing!

I also have a thing for jeans...I probably have about 50 pair. Mainly because when I find a pair that fits me well I buy 3 or 4 of the same pair...I love jeans. Because I am tall it is hard to find the right fit but places are making them with the 36" inseam now so i can get them to drag on the ground like I love YES!!!! I have no particular designer necessarily but I really like True Religion and Paper Cloth Denim.

My only name brand thing right now is Juicy Couture. I love their sweats and T-shirts. They fit me perfectly and they don't shrink in the wash...I'll pay the $75 for a nice fitting T-shirt. I got a long torso so when I find one that covers and is the right length I'm good.

Then there are handbags, sneakers, sweaters (I love the fall cause that's when you can break the sweaters out)...OK are you noticing a pattern here? I just love to shop...and it's putting me in the poor house right now for real!

you look cute in your polos Mr. Mack...and I'm with you...that *africa* will always be Puff to me!

Royce's daughter. I wear 36 inch inseams too. I love that they drag on the ground. I get mine from Buckle (they sell 37's too)...I just bought 2 pair from them last week. Victoria's Secret (online) sells 36 inch inseams too..alloy.com, long elegant legs, gap.com...I know all the spots.

Dayum Royce!!! lol

Anyway..I'm a T shirt, jeans, and sneaker wearing mofo..I refuse to wear Sean John, Tommy Hilfiger, or just about anything with a designers name on it... I like timeless clothing. Something that can be worn 2-3 years from now and still look fresh..

Now shoes for me are neccesity. I will pay over 200.00 dollars for a pair of shoes. Women always look at the feet first. If your shoes look cheap. They will put in that BROKE NUCCA category

Banana republic, Armani exchange and I hate to say it TARGET!!!! They seem to be the only store that have jeans that fit my ass...Polo jeans fit me too. Gap not so much. There jeans are for white boys...

You're in a tank in that pic, arent you? (Hmm....)

Nsane
Yeaaaahhhh...*like how jeezy say it*...I still think about that cut up shirt you was donnin' around memorial day...lol...
OK, that's right, that was what a gap meant? But so what? That mean we was going to get in easier? Like I said, when you're that age we aint doing nothing so I guess a chick that had a gap was eye candy...lol

Ill Nana
I'm suprised you didn't talk about your Puma game. or was that just one pair.

Insanity
Levi's huh? You know Levi's were never that big when we was growing up right Nsane and Dynasty??? Back then (circa 93, 94, 95ish) the jeans everybody had was Guess (with the triangle on the back pants pocket, lol) or girbaud...I couldn't afford neither.

Nikki
Capris look nice especially if a chick got curves action going.

Tenacious
LOL, 7 different pairs of the same draws huh? On the real, I got favorite boxers to wear if I'm going out with a prospective chick.

RD
I was waiting for someone to talk about shoes...I was actually worried that I was going to get all responses about shoes, but I guess that could be a blog entry of its own...I think Puffy has actually went back to "puffy" instead of the P diddy or diddy mess...damn 50 pairs of jeans huh...271 pairs of shoes? reminds me of that martin episode where gina wanted every color of brown in the store or something, lol

SLish
Damn man I love the ladies, I mean I *love* the ladies, but I'm glad a fella came thru to represent, whew! (LOL)
I used to be the same way, but I feel like SJ got staying power. I still prefer to wear jeans that have no writing on them....200 on some shoes huh? wingtips?...yeah I've improved on the shoes too...I aint sleep on target, they have a few things in there...it aint like the old days where you would get roasted for shopping at them kinda stores..lol...

@RD - 271 pairs of shoes - you are a BONAFIDE shoe ADDICT. However i agree with the clear box thing i have loads of them. The best things in life are never free that is why shoes are so damn expensive - £225-275 a pop and that is GBP!! (Girls have got it BAD!)

@Mack - Yes i am wearing a tank, but it was a saturday morning photo after a night out. Comfort is essential after a heavy sess on the dancefloor.

@ ALL THE GIRLIES WITH THE LONG PINS - i love getting jeans from for all mankind and they are not that expensive depending on style.

@The Lovely Mack & Slish - A man in good shoes is always good news. Like people say the way to a mans heart is his stomach the way to most girls hearts are shoes!
